La Jolla, Calif.-based Perminova, a developer of cloud-based cardiovascular applications, is allying with LifeWatch, a Swiss supplier of wireless remote patient monitoring services, to market expanded interoperability between patient monitors and IT in cardiac electrophysiology.
Under the compact, Perminova’s electrophysiology (EP) module will integrate data from LifeWatch’s cardiac monitoring and telemetry products directly into Perminova’s cloud-based system. The LifeWatch data center will push patient data into Perminova’s database to be matched with patients’ individual files. From there, data will be used by EP lab clinicians and become part of the health system’s EMR.
According to a Perminova news release, the system will provide physicians, nurses, technologists and other staff with a single source for patient information.
The company said future iterations will allow clinicians to order LifeWatch cardiac monitoring studies directly from Perminova systems.
